NEW GLP Impression X4S, RGBW

The GLP Impression X4 S (X4S) is a compact RGBW LED moving head wash light built for stages, events, and installs where you need a wide zoom range, smooth dimming, and creative pixel-style looks from a small footprint. Its seven high powered RGBW LEDs, each rated at 15 Watts, combine to give a homogeneous output across its entire beam range, with a zoom that shifts from a tight beam to a soft-edged wash.

Output and Zoom Flexibility

The motorized zoom system offers a 7:1 ratio, providing a variable beam from 7 degrees to 50 degrees. In practice, this lets you use the same fixture for narrow, punchy aerial looks and for broad wash coverage without changing fixtures or lenses. A high efficiency collimator cluster is designed for maximum light output while keeping the beam even and consistent.

Color, Dimming, and Strobe Control

Full control over the quad color LEDs is done via DMX (DMX 512 protocol), with additional control over color temperature as standard. Internal color presets and variable color temperature control from 2700K to 10000K help match cameras, tungsten-balanced sources, or daylight looks. The X4S features precise full range dimming with no color drift at low intensities (0-100% continuous dimmer), plus a variable speed electronic strobe from 1-25 Hz, including random strobe and pulse effects. Control can be set to 8 or 16 Bit resolution for smoother fades and more precise parameter changes.

Pixel-Level Looks with Individual LED Control

The unique feature of the Impression X4 S is the ability to control the intensity of each LED individually, allowing you to program unique looks and animations on the fly. Macro operation of individual lenses makes it easy to build dynamic chases and eye-candy effects while still having a clean, usable wash when you need it.

Fast, Accurate Movement and Reliable Operation

High precision 3 phase stepping motor control, position feedback, and maximum speed of 660 degrees pan in 2 seconds and 260 degrees tilt in 1 second support quick repositioning and repeatable cues. Very quiet, temperature controlled ventilation and over-temperature protection are designed to keep performance consistent in demanding environments, up to a maximum ambient temperature of 113 F / 45 C. A color calibration feature helps keep fixtures visually aligned across a rig.

Compact Rigging and Power, Touring-Friendly Build

Physically the impression X4 S measures just 12 inches tall and weighs just 12 lbs. Rubber feet mounted to the base allow it to stand on its own, and for hanging there are threaded sockets in the base allowing clamps to be directly inserted into the unit and keeping rigging height as low as possible. It includes 3 M10 sockets for half coupler or other clamp and 2 attachment points for safety wires.

The elegant design of the X4 S contains a yoke mounted LCD display for addressing and configuring each unit, with the base section containing data and power connections. The X4 S contains an auto sensing power supply from 100-240V at 50 or 60 Hz, with Neutrik Powercon in and thru connectors. Power consumption is rated at 150 VA (Watt), with micro-fuse protection (5x20mm, T 2A). DMX is via XLR 5 pin.

Rated LED lifetime is 50,000 hours.
