NEW ROBE ROBIN ColorStrobe

Add colour into your blinding strobing sequences with the NEW ROBE ROBIN ColorStrobe, a high-output RGBW LED strobe designed for dyed effects, white flashing with colorful backgrounds, or continuous bright light output with colored animations. Super fast bursts of high powered pulses can be adjusted in frequency, duration and intensity, optically harnessed from the 120x High Power RGBW chips, making it easy to build anything from subtle texture to full-impact audience hits.

Easy to rig individually or in multiples and easy to program, using direct segment control or the pre-defined macros. With 12 individually controllable segments (3 lines and 4 columns), the fixture can deliver chases, pixel-style blocks, and animated colour patterns across the face, while maintaining a wide, punchy wash of light through its 35° beam angle (1/2 beam) and 63° field angle (1/10 beam).

Output, Colour, and Strobe Performance

The ColorStrobe supports RGBW or CMY colour mixing, CTO, and a virtual colour wheel with 237 colours, including calibrated white presets (2.700 K, 3.200 K, 4.200 K, 5.600 K and 8.000 K). Tungsten lamp effects at whites (2.700 K and 3.200 K) help match warmer looks on camera or blend with conventional sources. For strobe and flash work, timing can be set from 0-862 ms with a 0-30 Hz strobe rate, plus built-in effects such as ramp up, ramp down, ramp up-down, random flash, single flash, and a microphone driven strobe effect.

Control, Networking, and Programming

Fitted with the standard Robe RNS touch screen system with DMX, RDM, Art-Net, MA Net and sACN protocols. The fixture supports USITT DMX-512 and offers 5 protocol modes with control channel options of 9, 14, 18, 28, or 84, allowing you to choose simple operation or deep segment control depending on the console and workflow. An Ethernet port supports Art-Net and is ready for ACN, and data connections include locking 3-pin and 5-pin XLR in/out. A built in analyser and memory service log with RTC help speed troubleshooting and maintenance.

Rigging, Build, and Practical Details

Designed for straightforward deployment in touring rigs, installed venues, and event production, the ColorStrobe is compact and manageable at 350 mm (13.8") tall (U-holder vertically), 315 mm (17,7") wide, 300 mm (11,8") deep, and 16.8 kg (37 lbs). The QVGA Robe touch screen includes battery backup and a gravitation sensor for auto screen positioning, supporting faster setup and addressing on the floor, in the shop, or on truss.

Operational Longevity

The light source uses 120x 15W RGBW multichips with a minimum LED life expectancy of 40.000 hours and typical lumen maintenance of 70% @ 40.000 hours. High resolution dimming (0-100%) and continuous full power RGBW operation with a high resolution dimmer enable smooth fades and colour-changer style effects alongside strobe looks.
