Pathway PWPP Pathport Rack Mount DMX Gateway is a 4-port DMX/RDM Ethernet gateway designed to move DMX512 data onto an Ethernet network (and back again) for flexible, scalable lighting control distribution. It connects DMX512 control devices to networked systems and delivers DMX512 to compatible end devices such as intelligent fixtures, LEDs, and dimmers.

Networked DMX distribution with per-port control

Each of the four DMX512 ports is individually configurable for direction and protocol, making it easy to adapt a rack room, dimmer room, or control position to changing show requirements. Status LEDs on each port provide quick confirmation of DMX activity and direction for faster troubleshooting during setup and show operation.

Front-panel setup and on-device reporting

The LCD display and encoder knob allow for front panel configuration and reporting of commonly used settings, including IP address and subnet mask, port direction, and protocol selection. This is especially helpful when you need to confirm network settings at the rack without connecting a computer.

Protocol support, merging, and advanced patching

Advanced features include extensive protocol support, slot-by-slot patching using multiple sources, cross-fading on priority change, and configurable signal loss behavior. Different Ethernet protocols may be merged together and prioritized, and you can map up to eight control sources to each output slot with merge and/or priority options set per source.

Hardware details for rack installs

This rack-mount unit uses rear-panel 5-pin XLR female connectors for clean cable management in installed systems. It includes rack-mount ears and provides silent, fan-less operation. Networking is via a 10/100 Mbps Ethernet port.
