Signal Integrity for Complex DMX/RDM Runs

The XSR boosts and regenerates DMX and RDM to help maintain stable control data across longer cable runs and multi-branch systems. By reducing reflection problems and reconditioning the signal per output, it helps keep fixtures responsive and minimizes common data issues that can occur when a single DMX line is split repeatedly.

Per-Port Protection and Optical Isolation

All ports are individually optically isolated and well protected against transient over voltages. This design helps prevent faults on one branch (for example, a short or surge on a downstream cable) from disrupting the entire universe, which is especially valuable in permanent installations and mission-critical show environments.

DMX-Only Filtering Mode and Built-In Termination

In the "DMX-only" mode all non-DMX data is filtered out and a clean signal without RDM or other protocols is generated. The unit also includes built-in line termination to support proper end-of-line practices when configuring DMX branches.

RDM Visibility for Easier Troubleshooting

The XSR splitters are "discoverable", and are visible on RDM controllers. This gives the user an better overview of the installation and helps with trouble shooting.

Connection and System Options

This model features a 5-pin XLR DMX input and through with 3-pin XLR outputs. The XSR family is also available in multiple connection types (5-pin and 3-pin XLR models, RJ-45 and pluggable screw terminals models) and housing types (installation, box, rack and double rack models). It provides 5 DMX outputs per universe (10 outputs on the double-rack) for scalable distribution in systems of different sizes.
