Reliable Signal Distribution for DMX and RDM

The XSR boosts and regenerates DMX and RDM, helping maintain signal integrity over longer cable runs and through complex rigs. By splitting one universe into multiple isolated outputs, it can reduce reflection problems and simplify system troubleshooting when you need predictable, repeatable data delivery to fixtures and devices.

Optical Isolation and Protected Ports

All ports are individually optically isolated and well protected against transient over voltages. This per-port isolation helps contain faults (for example, a damaged cable or miswired device) to a single output path, keeping the rest of the DMX/RDM distribution online.

DMX-Only Mode and RDM Visibility

In the "DMX-only" mode all non-DMX data is filtered out and a clean signal without RDM or other protocols is generated, which can be useful when a system requires DMX-only operation. The XSR splitters are discoverable, and are visible on RDM controllers, giving the user an better overview of the installation and helping with trouble shooting.

Connections, Outputs, and Rack Format

This model supports 5-pin XLR input and through with 3-pin XLR outputs in a single-rack housing. The XSR family also includes 5-pin and 3-pin XLR models, RJ-45 and pluggable screw terminals models, and housing types such as installation, box, rack and double rack models. The splitters provide 5 DMX outputs per universe (10 outputs on the double-rack) and include built-in line termination for clean end-of-line operation.

The XSR has a specially designed power supply which ensures safe operation even under harsh mains conditions.
