NEW Clay Paky Stormy CC

The Clay Paky Stormy CC is an LED strobe effect that brings modern control to the classic linear strobe look. It uses a strip of powerful white LEDs to emulate a bright Xenon linear lamp, while retaining the familiar character many designers expect from traditional strobes. The flash effect is enhanced by a parabolic reflector (like a classic strobe), rather than projecting light directly forward like many LED strobes.

Frequency, duration, and intensity are fully digitally controlled, and these parameters are even independently adjustable, which is impossible with a xenon lamp strobe. For color-capable strobing, the Stormy CC adds RGBW LEDs to flash in virtually any color, eliminating the need for gels (which reduce output) or slow, noisy, unreliable scrollers.

Optics and Output

With a 42 degree beam aperture and 130 degree spatial diffusion, Stormy CC is designed to read clearly in the air and across the stage. Total brightness is rated at 40,000 lm. The light source is 144 x 7W Oslon Osram LEDs (5,700 K, 50,000 h), combining high impact with long service life.

Control and Show Integration

Stormy CC supports DMX 512 with 7 control channels, making it straightforward to integrate into touring, theatrical, and installed lighting rigs. You get 0-100% dimming plus control over strobe pulse duration and pulse rate for everything from sharp hits to longer, blinder-style pulses. It also supports RDM for remote addressing and device management in compatible systems.

Power and Rigging

LED power is rated up to 980W max in pulsed mode and 720W max in continuous mode. A 360 degree adjustable bracket helps with flexible mounting and aiming in truss or installed positions.
