ROBE ROBIN Pointe

The ROBE Robin Pointe is a Beam, Spot, Wash, and FX all in one moving light. It is built for high-impact aerial looks and precise projection, with a very bright, super-fast output and a sharp parallel beam that cuts through haze and across video with ease. From tight beam looks to its full 20° zoom, the output stays crystal clear and brilliant.

Beam, Spot, Wash, and FX in One Fixture

Designed around an Osram Sirius HRI 280 W RO short-arc discharge lamp with an integrated reflector and electronic ballast, the Robin Pointe delivers the punch needed for concert, theater, corporate, and broadcast environments. Choose Standard mode (280 W) or Eco mode (230 W) to balance output and lamp life expectancy (up to 2,000 hours in Standard or 3,000 hours in Eco). Automatic and remote lamp on/off support efficient operation in rigs where access is limited.

Gobos, Color, and In-Air Texture

For projection and aerial texture, it can project static or rotating glass gobos to produce precision in-air and surface images with an even focal plane. A 13-filter dichroic color wheel plus white enables fast color changes, while the rotating gobo wheel includes 9 rotating, indexable, replaceable SLOT&LOCK glass gobos plus open. The static gobo wheel adds 14 gobos plus open for additional breakup and pattern options.

Prisms, Frost, and Output Shaping

Add in either rotating prisms, a 6-facet linear prism or an 8-facet circular prism, rotating in both directions at different speeds, to create wide-reaching effects across any set. A separate, variable frost effect makes it easy to soften edges for wash-style looks. Motorized zoom and focus help keep gobos and edges clean at varying throws, and full-range dimming with variable strobe supports everything from smooth fades to punchy accents.

Fast, Precise Motion and Pro Control Options

With 540° pan and 270° tilt, plus 8 or 16-bit resolution options and tracking/vector movement control, the Robin Pointe is tuned for quick sweeps and repeatable positioning. It supports USITT DMX-512 and RDM, along with Art-Net, MA Net, and MA Net2 via Ethernet, making it a strong fit for modern networked lighting workflows. Choose from 24, 16, or 30 control channels across three DMX protocol modes, and use the ROBE Navigation System 2 (RNS2) with a QVGA Robe touch screen (with battery backup and auto screen positioning) for straightforward setup and service access, including built-in analysis tools and a service log with RTC.

Rigging and Physical Details

The fixture measures 575 mm (22.6 in) tall with the head in vertical position, 364 mm (14.3 in) wide, and 250 mm (9.8 in) deep, and weighs 15 kg (33 lb). Connectivity includes locking 3-pin and 5-pin XLR data in/out, and power is via Neutrik PowerCon.
