NEW ROBE ROBIN Spiider

Spiider, a superbright next generation of LED WashBeam luminaire, uses 18x 30 Watt and 1x 60 Watt RGBW LED multichips combined with a very efficient 12,5:1 zoom optical system ranging from a tight 4° beam to a wide 50° wash, making it a powerful LED fixture for stages, tours, studios, and architectural wash applications.

Rich colors from 19 powerful RGBW LEDs create charming wash light with velvety smooth transitions thanks to the internal 18bit LED dimming system, and the fixture output reaches 11,000 lm with up to 50,100 lx at 5 m. For consistent whites on camera or on stage, variable CTO spans 2,700K to 8,000K, with a tungsten lamp effect at 2,700K and 3,200K (red shift and thermal delay).

Color, Pixel Control, and Built-In Effects

Color control supports RGBW or CMY mixing, plus a Virtual Colour Wheel with 66 preset LEE swatches for fast matching to gels and other fixtures. Individual control of each RGBW pixel enables detailed looks and pixel-based animation, supported by pre-programmed pixel effects with color, dimming, and strobe chases, waves, and pulses (with variable speed and direction). An innovative Flower Effect rotates in both directions at variable speed (patent pending) for layered beam and wash textures.

Networking and Protocol Compatibility

Dynamic video effects are easily achieved by mapping individual pixels and controlled by DMX desk or media servers via sACN with internal HTP merging, DMX, or by Kling-Net protocol. The fixture supports USITT DMX-512, RDM, Art-Net, MA Net, MA Net2, sACN, and Kling-Net, with 10 DMX protocol modes and control channel options including 27, 33, 46, 49, 90, 91, 103, 110, and 122 channels. Movement, Dimming, and Strobe Performance

Designed as a true moving-head wash/beam hybrid, Spiider provides 540° pan and 220° tilt with 16-bit resolution, standard and speed movement control, and adjustable pan/tilt speed for smooth fades or quick hits. Dimming is 0 to 100% with high resolution electronic dimming (8 or 16 bit, internal 18 bit), and strobe performance reaches a maximum of 20 flashes per second, including random strobe and pulse effects.

Setup, Display, and Reliability

Setup and addressing are handled through the ROBE Navigation System 2 (RNS2) and a QVGA Robe touch screen with battery backup and a gravitation sensor for auto screen positioning. The fixture includes operation memory service log with RTC, stand-alone operation with three editable programs (each up to 100 steps), and a built-in analyser for streamlined fault finding. LED life expectancy is a minimum of 20,000 hours, with typical lumen maintenance of 70% at 20,000 hours.
