The NEW AAdyntech G5 JAB Daylight is a 5600K LED fixture built for broadcast and production workflows, including Broadcast ENG remote field production, fixed studio installation, live sports coverage, video shoots, and film. Weighing in at only 19 lbs., its compact footprint makes it easy to transport for on-the-go lighting assignments, while delivering an unmatched output of better than 3,730 foot-candles at 10 ft. with a maximum current draw of just 1.77 amps at full brightness for up to 90% A/C energy savings. For locations where traditional power is limited, the fixture can also be operated on 28.8v DC battery power.

Cool, Safe Operation with Fast Set Readiness

Unlike HMI fixtures, the JAB Daylight generates minimal heat and no harmful UV or IR emissions, an important safety consideration for both talent and crew. The fixture is self-contained with an auto-ranging universal power supply, so there is no need for a heavy, expensive ballast, head cables, or replacement lamps. Fan-less convection cooling supports quiet operation, and instant ‘ON’ means no warm-up wait time on set.

Flicker-Free Output and Optical Control

The Daylight delivers flicker-free operation up to 12,000 frames per second, supporting high-speed capture without exposure artifacts. It comes equipped with specially designed holographic lenses that provide optical efficiency by creating a single light source, effectively eliminating multiple shadows. Four quick-change lenses vary the beam angle for very narrow, narrow, medium, or flood while maintaining a flat, even field (included 5°, 15°, 30°, and 55° lenses).

Control Options and Built-In Effects

There are several control possibilities: built-in UIM, DMX with DMX loop-thru, or the optional illuminated UIM Digital Remote. Brightness control is precise with no color shift, and operators can take advantage of the momentary-off douse button when working around takes. For creative and cue-based applications, the fixture also supports programmable multiple lightning and strobe effects, multiple user memory storage with recall, and a recalibration countdown hour ‘smart’ meter for maintenance tracking.

Rigging, Accessories, and Compliance

A heavy-duty yoke is standard for dependable mounting and aiming. Accessory options include barn doors, road cases, speed rings, light banks, and more, making it easy to configure the light for studio grids, mobile kits, or controlled spill on set.
