NEW GLP JDC1 Strobe

The NEW GLP JDC1 Strobe is a dual-element LED strobe fixture built around a traditional-looking single tube made from LEDs for a clear, bright white output, combined with a full-face RGB array surrounding the tube. Because the tube and RGB plate elements have independent control, you can run them as separate looks or layer them together for more complex strobe, color, and texture effects.

Along with working as a powerful strobe light, both the tube and the full face sections can be run continuously for high output blinder and wash light effects, which never reduce output or have thermal cutouts. This makes it well-suited for situations where you need consistent brightness across long cues, including live performance, touring rigs, and fixed installs.

Pixel Control and Mapping

For detailed looks and content-driven programming, the RGB face can be divided into 12 separate pixel sections (with 6 pixels per plate section for color and intensity control), and the bright white center tube can also be split into 12 pixel sections. The full array can then be pixel mapped through any standard controller, letting you build chases, animated accents, and synchronized visuals without sacrificing the classic punch of a tube-style strobe.

Movement and Precision

The JDC1 adds dynamic positioning with a 185 degree tilt range and 16-bit motorized tilt for smooth fades and accurate hits. Position feedback and high precision 3-phase stepping motor control help keep cues repeatable, which is especially valuable when multiple fixtures need to match across a rig.

Control, Effects, and Integration

Intensity, rate, and duration are separately controllable for the tube and plate elements, and a macro channel provides Pulse and Random effects for quick access to strobe looks. The fixture supports DMX-512 and pixel mapping control, and includes a back-lit graphic LCD menu with battery operation for convenient setup and addressing without needing to power the full system.

Protection and Physical Details

Over-temperature protection is built in. Dimensions (head vertical) are 15.3 in x 6.1 in x 11.2 in (390 mm x 154 mm x 284 mm). Weight is 26.5 lbs (12 kg) including bracket, and 24 lbs (10.8 kg) without bracket.
