NEW AAdynTech JAB Variable Cinema, Kit 2

The NEW AAdynTech JAB Variable Cinema, Kit 2 is a versatile, high-output LED cinema lighting kit built for film, broadcast, and studio production where fast setup, accurate color, and flexible beam control matter. It delivers 1,414 fc at 10 feet with an adjustable 3,000K to 6,000K color temperature range, and provides an accurate color temperature readout on the built-in UIM digital controller for quick, repeatable matching to practicals or ambient sources.

Output, Color Control, and On-Set Adjustability

Designed to keep lighting consistent across changing scenes, the JAB Variable Cinema offers precise brightness control with no color shift and a single light source that helps eliminate multiple shadows. A momentary douse button provides instant off when you need to cut light quickly without changing your settings. The fixture also includes diffuser lenses (5°, 15°, 30°, and 55°) to adapt beam angle for tight highlights, medium coverage, or broader washes, and the included barndoor helps shape spill on set.

Power Efficiency and Flexible Power Options

Most remarkable is the Variable draws only 1.78 amp of power at full output, and can be operated at 28.8v DC battery power in situations where conventional A/C supply is problematic or non-existent. The auto-ranging universal power supply supports 100 to 277 VAC (50/60Hz), and the system is self-contained with no ballast, head cables, or spare lamps required. With instant ON operation, there is no warm-up wait time on set.

Cooling, Durability, and Environmental Specs

Like all AAdynTech fixtures, the Variable generates no heat or harmful UV or IR emissions and operates cool to the touch, which can be especially helpful when working close to talent, props, or confined locations. It is rated for operating temperatures from -20°C to +50°C, and the kit ships in a Mil-Spec weatherprood molded road case with wheels and handle for easier transport and protection between locations.

DMX Integration and Built-In Effects

For studio grids and location rigs alike, the JAB Variable Cinema supports full DMX control with DMX loop-thru via 5-pin XLR DMX In/Out. It also includes programmable multiple lightning and strobe effects, multiple user memory storage with recall, and a recalibration countdown hour “smart” meter to help track maintenance intervals over time.
