The NEW Pathway PWPP Pathport Rack Mount DMX Gateway is built for reliable DMX/RDM distribution over an Ethernet network, making it easy to connect DMX512 controllers to DMX512-capable end devices such as intelligent lighting fixtures, LEDs, dimmers, and more. With eight DMX512 ports that can be individually configured for input or output, it supports flexible system layouts in touring racks, venues, and permanent installs.

A 24 Watt, 24 VDC Auxiliary Power Supply is included.

DMX512, RDM, and Ethernet Protocol Support

The Pathport series of DMX/RDM Ethernet Gateways are the heart of DMX distribution. Use the built-in 10/100 Mbps network port to send DMX over Ethernet or convert incoming network data back to DMX512 at the device. The gateway supports multiple DMX-over-Ethernet protocols for sending and receiving, including Pathway ssACN (Secure sACN), E1.31 streaming ACN (sACN), Art-Net, Pathport Protocol, ShowNet, and more, helping it fit into mixed-protocol lighting networks.

Advanced Patching, Merging, and Priority Control

Advanced features include extensive protocol support, slot-by-slot patching using multiple sources, cross-fading on priority change, and signal loss behavior. Outputs can be configured as full universes or as a custom slot-by-slot patch, and you can map up to eight control sources to each output slot with user-configurable merge and priority options. Different Ethernet protocols may be merged together and prioritized, which is useful when combining console output, backup sources, architectural control, or media server control on the same network.

Front Panel Setup and At-a-Glance Status

Status LEDs for each port provide instant confirmation of DMX activity and direction. The LCD display and encoder knob allow for front panel configuration and reporting of commonly used settings such as IP address and subnet mask, port direction, and protocol selection, making basic setup and troubleshooting possible right from the rack.

RDM Capabilities and Quiet Rack Operation

When used with free Pathscape configuration software or ANSI E1.33 RDMnet compliant controllers, the unit can act as an ANSI E1.20 RDM controller for compatible devices. It also supports user-configurable DMX output speed and signal loss behavior, and its silent, fan-less design is well suited to noise-sensitive environments.
