NEW Hubbell 50A 3P/4W 480V Female Twist-Lock connector body for secure cord-to-equipment connections in 3-phase 480V AC applications. Built for portable power and industrial environments, the twist-lock design helps reduce accidental disconnects during operation, and the black/white components make it easy to identify and handle in the field.
Application Fit and Wiring
Designed for a 3 Pole, 4 Wire Grounding wiring scheme, this 50A connector supports #10 AWG minimum to #6 AWG maximum conductors. Terminals are identified in accordance with UL 498 (X, Y, Z, White, Green) to help speed up correct wiring during installation or cord buildouts.
Key Electrical and Safety Ratings
Rated for 50A and 3 Phase 480V AC, with dielectric voltage withstand of 2,000V minimum. Certified for current interrupting at full rated current, with temperature rise limited to 30 C maximum after 50 cycles at 150% rated current. Ratings are molded into the face for quick verification during inspection or maintenance.
Durable Materials and Cord Grip
Built with black Supertough Nylon housing and a black nylon contact nose, plus a glass-reinforced PET terminal retainer. The cord clamp (Rynite, white) supports round portable service cords from 0.750 in to 1.125 in (19.1 to 29.2 mm) in diameter, as defined by UL Standard 62 and CSA/C22.2 No. 49. Hardware includes stainless steel cord clamp screws (302/304) and zinc-plated steel pressure screws for terminal and ground connections.
Environmental and Compliance Details
Moisture resistance is rated IP20, with neoprene sealing components. Operating temperature range is -40 C minimum (without impact) to 75 C maximum continuous. Flammability is UL 94 V0 for receptacles and inlets (HB or better for plugs and connectors). Listings: UL/CSA.
