Pathway NEW Pathway PWPP Pathport Wall Mount DMX Gateway is a flush-mount, permanent-install 2-port DMX/RDM Ethernet gateway designed to distribute DMX512 and RDM over standard Ethernet networks. Use it to connect DMX512 control devices to an IP network and deliver reliable data to DMX512-capable end devices such as intelligent fixtures, LEDs, and dimmers, making it ideal for venues that need clean wall-plate installation with network-based routing.

The Pathport series of DMX/RDM Ethernet Gateways are the heart of DMX distribution.

Advanced features include extensive protocol support, slot-by-slot patching using multiple sources, cross-fading on priority change, and signal loss behavior. Different Ethernet protocols may be merged together and prioritized. The front panel LCD provides instant confirmation of DMX port and network link status.

Installation and Power Options

The Wall-mount 2-Port is the original and most popular Pathport Gateway. It is suitable for flush-mount or permanent installation, in an attractive Matte Black finish, and fits a standard 2-gang, deep backbox. It supports Power-over-Ethernet via a 10Mbps Ethernet port (PoE) or auxiliary 24 to 48VDC input, with a maximum power consumption of 4W (PoE Class 1 device).

Network Protocols and System Compatibility

Supports the following Ethernet sending and receiving protocols: Pathway ssACN (Secure sACN), E1.31 streaming ACN (sACN), Art-Net, Pathport Protocol, and ShowNet. Each of the two DMX ports is configurable, and DMX output can be set as whole universes or as a custom slot-by-slot patch. You can map up to eight control sources to each output slot, with merge and/or priority options for each source, which is useful when combining multiple controllers or managing show control handoff.

RDM Capabilities and Control

The gateway can act as an E1.20 RDM controller when used with the free Pathscape configuration software or ANSI E1.33 RDMnet compliant controllers. DMX output speed and signal loss behavior are user-configurable to match the needs of specific fixtures and installation requirements.
