The Elation PROTEUS MAXIMUS is a bright IP65-rated LED profile fixture built for outdoor and all-weather lighting where long-throw output, clean projection, and reliable performance matter, including concerts, special events, theme parks, and cruise ships.

High-output LED engine for outdoor beam, profile, and wash

Providing up to 50,000 lumens from its custom designed 950W 6,500K LED engine the Proteus Maximus is the ideal fixture for any outdoor application requiring superior output, bright and powerful beams, quiet operation as well as stunningly precise gobos and colors. With a fast zoom range from 5.5° to 55° and an impressive 180mm front lens, it can punch through haze at distance for big stages, while still opening up for broader coverage when you need a more wash-like look.

Color control and creative effects for programming flexibility

Proteus Maximus provides the designer a comprehensive FX package with 6 rotating and 7 fixed glass gobos, full animation wheel, dual prisms, dual frost and a high-speed Iris. CMY color mixing and variable CTO support smooth color fades and precise white balance, and the 6-position color wheel (with High CRI and UV filter) expands fast-access options for cue-based work.

Precision framing and projection tools

Its indexable framing system provides full blackout shutter cuts for precise beam shape control, including 4 rotating full blackout framing blades with +/-45° framing indexing. Motorized focus and auto-focus presets help keep patterns crisp across throws, and internal macros for color, framing, prism, and frost speed up repeatable looks across a rig.

Control and integration

For modern lighting networks, the fixture supports DMX, RDM, Art-NET, and sACN, with 2 DMX channel modes (37 / 61), 16-bit pan, tilt, and dimming control, plus a DMX-controllable LED refresh rate. Onboard setup is handled via a 6-button touch control panel and a full color 180° reversible LCD menu display. Additional conveniences include variable 16-bit dimming curve modes, a high speed electronic shutter and strobe, and hibernation mode (power save).

Rugged physical design and connections

Designed to handle demanding environments, the Proteus Maximus features a fully dust and water proof design for dependable outdoor use. Connections include 5pin XLR DMX in/out, with wired digital communication network support.
