The NEW MA Lighting grandMA3 Light is a compact, full-featured lighting control console designed for professional programming and playback in live events, touring, broadcast, theater, and installed venues. It delivers a strong balance of processing power and ergonomic surface size, making it a practical main console for many productions while staying easy to transport and set up.

Hands-On Playback and Fast Programming

Featuring 60 separate playbacks, 16 assignable x-keys, and a dedicated master playback section, the grandMA3 Light provides extensive hands-on control for cue lists, executors, and busking workflows. Motorized faders and backlit, dimmable silent (clickless) keys help maintain visibility and consistency across show files, especially in dark environments and quiet studios.

Touchscreen Workspace and Hardware Feedback

Huge multi-touch screen real-estate provides instant access to programming tools and is fully configurable to suit individual needs. The console includes two internal foldable monitor multi-touch screens, two internal letterbox multi-touch screens, and two internal multi-touch command screens. The letterbox screens are context sensitive and dedicated to providing feedback and options for grandMA3 Light playback and encoder hardware. For expanded layouts, two external multi-touch screens can be connected.

System Scale, Parameters, and I/O

The grandMA3 Light console includes 8,192 control parameters as standard (HTP/LTP), or 4,096 parameters in Mode2 (HTP/LTP), providing a capable base platform for professional lighting rigs. For larger productions, real-time control scales to up to 250,000 parameters per session when used in connection with grandMA3 processing units.

For direct connectivity, the console provides 6 DMX outputs and 1 DMX input, plus 3 etherCON connectors and 6 USB connectors for common show-control peripherals and workflows.

Software Compatibility and Quiet Operation

The grandMA3 Light is compatible with grandMA2 and grandMA3 software. The hardware is ergonomically optimized and can be considered a silent version by default, supporting environments where low acoustic noise is important.

Built for the Road

Designed for professional deployment, the console includes an integrated keyboard drawer and a built-in uninterruptible power supply (UPS) to help protect operation during brief power interruptions. Physical controls include 41 rotary RGB backlit encoders, 5 backlit dual encoders, 15 backlit motorized 60 mm faders, and 2 backlit motorized A/B faders (100 mm).
