The Martin MAC Encore Wash CLD is a soft-edge LED moving head wash built for broadcast, film, and live production that need a crisp 6000 K neutral daylight look with smooth zoom, precise movement, and full color control. It also doubles as a modern replacement for generic fixtures like HMI based Fresnel fixtures, with the added advantages of CMY color mixing, onboard effects, and repeatable pan/tilt positioning.

Daylight LED performance for camera

The pure white LED engine delivers 6000 K CCT with no color temperature variation during zoom and dimming, helping maintain consistent white balance through cues. Flicker-free operation and an LED driver frequency suitable for all camera applications make it a strong choice for on-set lighting, studio work, and any environment where cameras are rolling.

Color, zoom, and beam shaping

For creative flexibility, the MAC Encore Wash CLD provides vibrant CMY color mixing, plus a color wheel with 6 interchangeable dichroic filters and open. Variable CTO allows daylight to tungsten CCT control and expands the CMY palette while staying true to the black body curve. The Fresnel lens delivers a 1:4 zoom that is precise, silent, and fast, giving you tight-to-wide coverage from a single fixture.

Precision control and built-in effects

Fully electronic dimmer and shutter control includes multiple dimming curves and tungsten red-shift emulation for smoother fades. The internal barndoor system includes two shutter blades and an iris, with blades that can overlap for full blackout and a system rotation of +/- 100 degrees for accurate, repeatable shaping. A precise, tight iris supports adjustable dynamic effects, and the Animotion FX System provides internal dimming effect macros for 3D mid-air and projection-style looks.

Quiet operation and reliable positioning

Designed for noise-sensitive environments, whisper-silent operation combines convection and forced-air cooling with user-selectable output vs. sound level control. Pan and tilt movement is super precise and silent thanks to 3-phase stepper motor technology and absolute position monitoring, helping the fixture repeat cues with great precision.
