The Astera AX3 Lightdrop is a compact, battery-operated IP65 RGBW puck light designed for stage lighting and corporate events where fast setup and flexible placement matter. Use it as an uplight, a hanging or standing spotlight, or as a practical source inside translucent objects, truss, and similar scenic elements when you need clean, controlled color in a small footprint.

Built for fast placement indoors or outdoors

With an IP65 rating, the NEW Astera AX3 Lightdrop (Pkg of 8) is well suited for event environments where weather and handling are part of the workflow. Each fixture is lightweight at 0.68 kg (1.4 lbs) and can be positioned with the included bracket (120 mm x 59 mm x 114 mm) or used without it (Ø95 mm x 59 mm), making it easy to tuck into tight set pieces or architectural details.

RGBW output and optical control

The AX3 uses an RGBW LED engine with 15 W total LED power and delivers 430 lumens at 3200K. For punch at close distances, it provides 1,300 lux at 2 m (3200K). The native 13° beam angle (22° field angle) helps create defined accents, while the included filters provide quick beam shaping for wider coverage when needed. Strobe is adjustable from 0 to 25 Hz for effects and camera-friendly looks.

Battery runtime and wireless-ready control

For cable-free operation, the built-in battery runs up to 20 hours (usage dependent). Charging time is nominally 7 hours via 5 VDC, 2.5 A (5.5 mm x 2.5 mm connector). The AX3 has built-in CRMX for wireless DMX workflows, and it is a single-pixel fixture, making it straightforward to deploy in numbers for consistent, repeatable looks.

Color quality for event and camera environments

Across the 3200 to 6500 K range, the AX3 is specified at CRI (Ra) / TLCI ≤88, supporting natural-looking skin tones and balanced whites for live events, broadcast, and corporate video applications where consistent color matters.
