NEW Astera Helios Tube (Pkg of 8)

The NEW Astera Helios Tube (Pkg of 8) is a compact, battery-powered RGBMintAmber LED tube lighting kit built around the Titan LED Engine. Designed for film, TV, photo, and event workflows, Helios delivers Titan-matched color and brightness calibration in a smaller format, making it easier to mount in tight locations while improving portability.

Helios Tube is an RGB – Amber – Mint LED lighting Tube that has all the features of the popular Titan Tube while offering a smaller format. It allows mounting in areas where a Titan Tube wouldn’t fit and also increases portability. This LED lighting Tube has 8 pixels, half the brightness of the Titan tube and just over half its length. Colors and brightness are perfectly matched to those of the Titan Tube`s.

On-Set Control and Wireless Integration

Each tube includes a built-in CRMX receiver and supports wireless protocols CRMX and UHF with wireless range up to 300 m (330 yds). For cabled setups, wired DMX is supported via FP1-PWB, FP3-DTL, or PWB-2-86 (sold separately). This makes Helios a practical choice for mixed rigs where some fixtures are hard-wired and others need cable-free placement.

Color Quality, Output, and Effects

The Helios Tube uses a 36 W LED engine (24 W LED power draw) and delivers high color accuracy across 3200 to 6500 K with CRI (Ra) and TLCI of ≥96. Output is rated at 360 lux at 1 m (3200 K) and 393 lux at 1 m (4000 K), with an even, wide beam (135° x 115°) suited to practical-style placement, accents, and soft wraparound illumination. Pixel control across 8 pixels supports animated looks and dynamic cues, and strobe is adjustable from 0 to 25 Hz.

Battery Runtime and Practical Handling

For location work and rapid resets, the internal battery runs up to 20 hours, with nominal charging time of 3 hours. Battery lifetime is specified at 70% after 300 cycles. Each tube measures 550 mm x Ø 43 mm (21.7 in x Ø 1.7 in) and weighs 0.765 kg (1.68 lbs), making it easy to hide behind set pieces or position where longer tubes are impractical. DC input is 24 VDC, 1.25 A with a 5.5 mm x 2.1 mm connector.
