NEW Astera Hyperion Tube (Pkg of 4)

The NEW Astera Hyperion Tube (Pkg of 4) is a four-light LED tube system designed for film, broadcast, studio, and event lighting where fast setup, pixel control, and reliable wireless DMX matter. Building on the enormous success of the Titan Tube, Astera created the double length Hyperion Tube, which measures just over 2 meters and around 80 inches. Double the LEDs, double the batteries, double the brightness, double the pixels and the same high-quality light with App, CRMX and on-tube control and wired DMX option.

Why Hyperion works on set and on stage

With the Titan LED Engine and RGBMintAmber color, Hyperion is built for accurate skin tones and clean whites across a wide CCT range (3200 to 6500 K) with CRI (Ra) and TLCI of ≥96. At 4000 K it delivers 5,800 lumens and 1,570 lux at 1 m, making it practical as a key, edge, or background source, as well as for architectural accents and immersive set pieces.

Pixel mapping, diffusion, and effects

Each tube provides 32 pixels for chases, gradients, and pixel-mapped content, plus strobe control from 0 to 25 Hz. The wide beam (135° x 115°) and broad field (175° x 160°) help create even coverage when used as a bare tube, inside practical builds, or hidden for indirect washes.

Control options and wireless range

Hyperion supports multiple workflows, including on-tube controls, infrared control, and app-based control. For wireless lighting networks it includes a built-in CRMX receiver and supports CRMX and UHF with a specified wireless range up to 300 m (330 yds). A wired DMX option is available via FP3-DTL / PWB-2-86, which helps when RF is congested or when a hardline connection is preferred.

Power, runtime, and charging

Hyperion is rated at 144 W total LED power with a 92 W LED power draw, and can run on battery for up to 20 hours depending on output and usage. Nominal charging time is 3 hours. It accepts 24 VDC (4 A) via a 5.5 mm x 2.1 mm DC connector, making it straightforward to integrate into common on-set power distribution.

Build, weather considerations, and physical specs

The tube housing combines polycarbonate with metal end caps for durability, and is specified for 0 to 40 °C (32 to 104 °F) ambient operation. Hyperion is IP65 only with FP1-SP. Each tube measures 2031 mm x Ø 43 mm (79.9 in x Ø 1.7 in) and weighs 2.9 kg (6.39 lb). The full package weight is 34.4 kg (75.8 lb), with package dimensions of 2262 mm x 394 mm x 149 mm (89.05 in x 15.51 in x 5.86 in).
