NEW Astera AX9 PowerPar

The NEW Astera AX9 PowerPar is a compact, high-output LED PAR and uplight designed for events, film and broadcast, and architectural accent lighting. The AX9 utilizes the AX5’s successful 3-in-1 concept which allows it to be used as wireless light and elegant uplight as well as a wired PAR light for longer or bigger installations. This makes it an extremely cost-efficient light and keeps your investment to a minimum.

The AX9 packs extreme brightness in a compact and light housing while still giving you industry-leading colors and white tones thanks to its Titan LED Engine. Its RGBMintAmber color system supports vivid saturated looks along with accurate, pleasing whites, backed by a high CRI/TLCI of ≥96 (3200–6500 K) for skin tones and camera-friendly results.

Wireless or Wired Control for Fast Setups

Built for flexible workflows, the AX9 includes wired DMX (via 5-pin XLR) and a built-in CRMX receiver for dependable wireless DMX on set or on stage. Integrated wireless options include CRMX, UHF, Bluetooth, and WiFi, with CRMX/UHF range up to 300 m (330 yds). Infrared control is also supported for quick adjustments when needed.

Output, Optics, and Effects

With a Titan LED Engine and 105 W total LED power (70 W LED power draw), the AX9 delivers strong punch from a small footprint. Output is rated at 2,844 lumens (2700K), 3,214 lumens (3200K), and 3,047 lumens (5500K), with measured light output at 1 m of 41,755 lux (2700K), 47,078 lux (3200K), and 44,355 lux (5500K). A 13° beam angle (25° field angle) helps create defined pools of light for uplighting, columns, truss, and focused accent looks, and strobe is available from 0 to 25 Hz.

Battery Operation and Touring-Ready Build

For cable-free installs, the internal battery runs up to 20 hours, charges in a nominal 5 hours, and is rated to 70% capacity after 300 cycles. The aluminum housing is rated IP65 for dependable use in challenging environments, and the unit is specified for ambient operating temperatures of 0–40 °C (32–104 °F).

Power and Physical Details

AC input is 100–240 VAC, 50/60 Hz (110 W), with PowerCON TRUE1 IN/OUT connectors for secure power distribution. The fixture measures 175 x 222 x 256 mm (6.9 x 8.7 x 10.1 in) and weighs 5.66 kg (12.5 lb).
