The XBlack Supernova is an ultra bright Hybrid Profile fixture with an impressive 49,000 lumen output. It is perfect for arenas and stadiums where you need a massive lighting throw to the stage. With its robust framing system, 6°-50° zoom range, CTO and CMY filters it can also be used as a front wash fixture with perfect color correction.

Built for Long-Throw and Wide-Coverage Rigs

Powered by a 1200 watt LED engine, the Supernova is designed to cover everything from tight beam looks at 6° to broader stage coverage at 50° with linear zoom. High-precision glass lenses and electronic linear HD focus help maintain clarity across the zoom range, making it well-suited for large venues where focus accuracy and edge definition matter.

Framing, Color, and Texture Control

For shaping light precisely, the full framing system uses 4 blades with rotation and a 90° module rotation (16 bit), giving you clean cuts and flexible orientation. Color is handled through full CMY color mixing (16 bit) plus variable CTO (16 bit) for dialing in natural-looking correction across a wide range (color temperature rated 6500-2700k, CTO specified 6000k-2300k). For aerial and projection looks, you also get a rotating gobo wheel (7 gobos, 16 bit), a static gobo wheel (8 gobos), an animation wheel, and a 4-facet rotating bi-directional prism. Two frost filters let you soften the beam for smoother wash applications.

Movement and Dimming for Show Control

The Supernova delivers fast, precise movement with 540° pan and 270° tilt (both 16 bit). Output control includes 0-100% electronic linear dimming (16 bit) and a 1-25Hz strobe with synchronized/random and pulse effects for timing-critical cues.

DMX/RDM Integration and Power

Integrate the fixture into standard lighting networks via DMX with RDM support, using 5-pin DMX input/output. Choose the channel footprint that fits your console and workflow: 35 channel (Basic), 39 channel (Standard), or 54 channel (Extended). Power is delivered via True1 with a universal AC input range (100-240v, 50/60Hz) and a max consumption rating of 1450 watts (main fuse 250v/15a).

Thermal Design and Installation Considerations

An advanced cooling system combines liquid block cooling with variable speed fans to manage heat in demanding environments. The fixture is IP20 indoor rated and weighs 99.2 lbs (45 kg), so plan appropriate rigging and handling for installation and service access. Minimum LED lifespan is rated at 20,000 hours.
