NEW XBlack Flipside FX
Description
The XBlack Flipside FX is the cure for boredom in lighting design, providing multiple options in one fixture. One side is a 5-cell, pixel-controlled RGBW wash strip with tight beam or wide wash coverage, and the other side is an ultra-bright, segment-controlled RGBW strobe strip, so you can get completely different looks using both sides of the fixture.
Two Looks in One Fixture
Use the wash side when you need smooth color and beam shaping, then flip to the strobe side for punchy, segmented effects that read clearly in the air and on camera. The wash side uses 5 x 60W RGBW pixels with a 4° to 45° zoom range to move from narrow, defined output to wider coverage without changing fixtures.
On the strobe side, the engine pairs 42 x 3W 6500K cool white LED pixels with 84 x 0.3W RGB LEDs for intense white hits and colored accents. With 14 segments (9 LEDs per segment) and segmented pixel control, you can build chases, blocks, and zone effects that stay crisp and repeatable.
Movement, Control, and Integration
For dynamic looks and easy focusing, the Flipside FX delivers 360° infinite pan and 360° infinite tilt (8 to 16-bit). Dimming is electronic from 0 to 100%, strobe is variable up to 20Hz, and color mixing is continuous for smooth fades and cue-to-cue consistency.
Connectivity and control are built for professional rigs, including DMX and RDM, plus 5-pin DMX in/out. Choose the channel mode that fits your workflow, 24-channel (Basic), 29-channel (Standard), or 105-channel (Extended) for deeper pixel and segment control. An LCD display with an onboard control panel supports quick setup at the fixture.
Power and Quiet Operation
Power is handled via True 1 input/output with an AC 100 to 240V, 50/60Hz input range and a maximum consumption of 500W. The ultra-quiet cooling system is designed for almost silent operation, making it a strong fit for stages, houses of worship, and venues where fan noise matters.
