Description
The NEW Fusion X-PAR 8Z is GLP’s most compact and lightest weatherproof (IP65) LED PAR in the FUSION by GLP X-PAR series, built for flexible use on stages, events, and architectural applications where space and weight matter. At just 4.5 kg with an extremely compact housing (175 x 175 x 249 mm), it is a true all-rounder that fits easily into tight rigging positions, low-clearance installs, and portable setups.
Compact, Weatherproof PAR for Stage and Architectural Use
Whether used individually or in a matrix, as eye candy on stage, as a colored beam light, or for homogeneous illumination of surfaces, the FUSION X-PAR 8Z’s motorized zoom makes it easy to adapt the beam to the job. With its IP65 classification, the fixture is also well-suited for outdoor temporary use, including façade lighting and other weather-exposed environments.
Motorized Zoom, Fresnel Lens, and Calibrated Color
Powered by a highly efficient 80 W RGBL LED, the X-PAR 8Z emits up to 1,800 lumens with excellent light quality thanks to GLP’s patented iQ.Gamut color calibration. The 132 mm Fresnel lens helps produce a clean, even light image, while the motorized zoom covers everything from tight 8.5° beams to wide 55° washes (1:7 zoom ratio) for quick changes between punchy looks and smooth coverage.
Color Temperature Control and Broadcast-Friendly Settings
A variable color temperature adjustment from 2,500 to 10,000 K, four dimmer curves (linear, square, inverse square, S-curve), and 8-bit/16-bit electronic dimming support precise fades and consistent camera results. Seven LED refresh rate options (600 Hz to 25 kHz), shutter control (1 to 10 Hz), magenta/green shift correction, and a virtual color wheel with 64 referenced LEE colors (plus four white presets) provide practical tools for theatre, live events, corporate, and on-camera environments.
Control, Power, and Silent Cooling
The fixture supports DMX (USITT DMX512-A) and RDM (ANSI/ESTA E1.20), with multiple DMX channel modes (4, 6, 8, 11, or 16) and high-resolution dimmer control for smoother fades. A fanless convection cooling design makes it suitable for noise-sensitive spaces. Power is handled via True1-compatible In/Out, and signal uses Neutrik 5-pin XLR In/Out. The unit operates from 100 to 240 V AC (50 to 60 Hz), with a max power draw of 85 W.
Mounting and Deployment Options
The die-cast aluminum housing is designed for flexible orientation in indoor permanent or outdoor temporary applications. Mounting options include a double bracket with three holes, a centered M10 thread for drop mounting, and an eyelet for a safety cable. Construction features support floor standing with an adjustable foot, low ceiling mounting with the bracket, and a holder for an optional filter frame and barndoor.
