NEW GLP Impression X5 Bar 1000

The GLP impression X5 Bar is a linear RGBL LED batten built for stage, broadcast, and event lighting where you need both punchy output and accurate color. It uses 18 powerful 40 W RGBL LEDs and the GLP iQ.Gamut color calibration algorithm to deliver consistent color mixing and clean, usable whites with excellent rendering.

Optics and Beam Control

The new squared lens design ensures maximum lumen efficiency and gives an unprecedented curtain of light at its narrowest angle of just 3.5°, and delivering smooth and homogenous washes all the way out to its widest 60° wash. With a 1:17 zoom ratio and 18 square output lenses (48 x 48 mm each), the X5 Bar can shift from tight, linear beam looks to wide coverage for cyc and scenic washes without swapping fixtures.

Color, Whites, and On-Camera Performance

As a part of the new GLP X5 family it offers a wide feature package, including selectable calibrated white points, a tungsten simulation channel, magenta / green correction, virtual color wheel and variable CTC, along with twin layer effects with plenty of dynamic pattern macros. For color-critical applications, it is specified at CCT 6,500 K with low Duv matching for a more neutral white point, and strong rendering metrics (CRI Ra 90 at 6,500 K, TLCI 90 at 6,500 K).

Pixel Control and Effects

The impression X5 Bar offers our patented fast tilt movement in combination with seamless pixel pitch across fixtures, helping you build continuous lines of light across multiple battens. Multiple DMX personalities are available (M1: 20 through M6: 81 channels, including Segment and Multipix options) so you can choose simple operation or deeper pixel and effects control depending on the console workflow and show needs.

Control, Networking, and Integration

For modern rigs, the X5 Bar supports DMX (USITT DMX512-A) with RDM (ANSI/ESTA E1.20), plus Art-Net, sACN, and iQ.Mesh. Addressing and configuration are supported via the onboard backlit graphic display and menu, as well as DMX, RDM, iQ.Mesh, and NFC using the iQ.Service App. Connectivity includes 5-pin XLR in/out, dual Neutrik etherCON ports (failsafe), and Neutrik powerCON TRUE1 in/out.

Performance and Practical Details

Output is rated up to 7,500 lm, with 16-bit global dimming (0 to 100%) and selectable dimming curves (linear, soft, S-curve) for smoother fades. High-resolution control is available for intensity, tilt, and color mix. Fan modes (regulated, high, medium, low, off) let you balance cooling and noise for venue or studio environments. The fixture includes features designed for day-to-day handling and rigging, such as handgaps for carrying, a tilt-lock system, an alignment system, and a Smart Slide-In Filter System.
