The PROTEUS HYBRID MAX combines high output and long lamp life in a feature packed compact IP66 hybrid fixture built for demanding indoor and outdoor applications. Featuring the innovative Philips MSD Platinum FLEX 500 lamp, it’s designed for productions that need a single fixture to cover beam, spot, and wash looks without compromising punch or projection clarity.

High Output, Flexible Optics

Rated at 550W and up to 4,000 hours smart lamp life, the HYBRID MAX delivers 22,000+ lumens from a large 170 mm front aperture for crisp beams, sharp gobos, and bright wash coverage. The ultra-fast motorized zoom spans 1.8° to 45°, letting you move quickly from tight aerial effects to wider stage washes, while motorized focus with auto-focus helps keep textures and patterns clean at varying throw distances.

Color Control and Beam Shaping

For precise color work, the fixture includes a full CMY color mixing system, variable CTO for dialing in color temperature, and a 16-position color wheel. Beam shaping and dynamics are supported with iris control, high-speed shutter and strobe, and an effects toolset built for both subtle diffusion and full wash looks using dual frost filters.

Projection and FX Package

The PROTEUS HYBRID MAX is equipped with dual gobo wheels (8 interchangeable rotating/indexing glass gobos and 16 static-stamped metal gobos plus an animation track) for layered projection and texture. Three tracks of animation patterns, including dual and single-track animation, expand movement and breakup options. Four prisms on dual planes add multi-beam effects and mid-air dimension, and built-in macros simplify fast access to common CMY, gobo, and prism looks.

Movement for Aerial Impact

For high-energy looks and wide-area coverage, the fixture includes a fast continuous pan rotation with 360° endless pan motion, along with pan angle options of 540°/630° and a 250° tilt range. This movement system supports rapid sweeps, repeating aerial patterns, and dynamic positional effects in touring, festival, and fixed-install rigs.

IP66-Rated Housing for Outdoor Use

With an IP66 rating, the fixture is protected from water and dirt, making it well suited for outdoor stages, stadium environments, and long-term exterior installs where weather resistance is essential.

Sky Motion Standalone Searchlight and Skytracker Effects

The PROTEUS HYBRID MAX includes the innovative Sky Motion system to operate the fixture as an impactful searchlight effect without the need for a dedicated lighting controller. Multiple fixtures can be interconnected, and with the simple assignment of IDs the fixture provides immediate access to a variety of movement patterns that are easily adjustable in size, speed, and color directly from the display. Comparable in output to large format Xenon fixtures the PROTEUS HYBRID MAX operates at a fraction of the power, supports a wide range of 100-240V, has a much smaller footprint, lower weight and is fully IP66 rated. The Sky Motion system allows standalone operation for events and applications and is easy to set up and adjust directly from the display of the fixture even for "non-lighting" users and expands the usability of the fixture beyond traditional show lighting applications.
