NEW Elation Proteus Rayzor 1960

The NEW Elation Proteus Rayzor 1960 is a compact yet extremely powerful IP65 rated wash effects fixture built for high-output looks in demanding indoor or outdoor environments. With a wide zoom range from 5° to 55°, it delivers intense, well-defined mid-air beams at over 18,000 lumens, plus exceptionally wide and even wash coverage for stages, architectural washes, and broadcast-friendly lighting setups. Elation’s unique SparkLED system adds a prominent LED pixel effect, with dedicated high-brightness pixels inside the large front lenses for additional layers of creativity.

High-Output RGBW Wash with Pixel Control

Driven by 19 independently controlled 60W RGBW LEDs (total power 1140W), the PROTEUS RAYZOR 1960 provides a powerful beam that stands out on any stage. The oversized front lenses create a large illuminated surface, helping effects read clearly at distance, whether you are painting broad stage washes or tightening down for punchy aerial looks.

SparkLED Lens Illumination for Added Depth

The fixture’s exclusive patent pending SparkLEDs technology places 76 individual white LEDs inside the lens itself, creating a unique internal-lens illumination layer for depth and visual impact. SparkLEDs can be controlled by your lighting console for pixel-mapped looks or driven by a multitude of internal FX patterns when you need fast, repeatable eye-candy without complex programming.

Continuous Pan and Tilt for Dynamic Movement Effects

In addition to its powerful wash and enhanced effects, the PROTEUS RAYZOR 1960 offers precise continuous pan and tilt rotation, allowing variable speed from slow to extremely fast movement effects. Combining the powerful LED output with the SparkLEDs while utilizing the 360° movement, allows the designer to create endless, unique and appealing designs from mid-air beams or wide stage washes to subtle effects for mood or the TV camera lens.

IP65 Connectivity and Control Options

For integrated control in touring and installed systems, the fixture supports DMX with multiple channel modes (25 / 100 / 176 channels), plus RDM support. It also includes IP65-rated data options such as 5-pin XLR DMX in/out and RJ45 Ethernet in/out (Art-Net, sACN). A full-color 180° reversible LCD menu display and touch panel make on-fixture setup straightforward, even when the unit is rigged.

Packaging and Transport Protection

The PROTEUS RAYZOR 1960 ships in a cardboard box with a custom fitted polyurethane foam FIL (Foam In Lay) insert. This foam insert easily fits into a custom sized flight case (not included),and provides enhanced impact protection during transport.
