RTS MCE-325 Intercom Station
Description
The RTS MCE-325 is a 4-channel, programmable intercom station for broadcast, live event, and production communications. It may be used as a headset station or, with the addition of the MCS325 Modular Speaker, as a speaker station. It may be mounted in a console or equipment rack via optional mounting kits (not included).
These units may show signs of heavy wear but are in good working condition.

Flexible Line Compatibility (2-Wire and 4-Wire)
The MCE-325 can be used with either 2-wire or 4-wire intercom lines, or a combination of both, making it a practical choice for facilities that need to integrate legacy partyline with matrix-based 4-wire workflows. In this manual and in the labeling on the MCE-325, references to CH 1, 2, 3, and 4 indicate 2-wire lines; references to 4-wire A and 4-wire B indicate 4-wire lines.
Operational Features for Busy Comms
- Call signaling via an inaudible 20kHz tone to activate a call indicator LED.
- Remote Talk-Off support, using an inaudible 24kHz signal to deactivate active, unattended remote station microphones. The MCE-325 can send and receive talk-off signals.
- VOX circuit programmable for voice activation of the microphone, useful when operators need hands-free talk initiation.
- Simple IFB that interrupts program audio assigned to a channel during talk, helping prioritize communication when you key the mic.
- External device keying through key outputs at the auxiliary connector on the rear panel. External devices, such as two-way radios, speaker mute relays, or paging systems may be activated, and the key outputs may also be used to expand the simple IFB functions, allowing any number of MCE-325 stations to interrupt the program source and talk on the line.
- Microphone limiter in the preamplifier circuit to help equalize voice levels between different users and headsets.
- Fully programmable with settings retained even when power is shut off.
