NEW Martin MAC Aura XIP

MAC Aura XIP is a premium RGBW moving head wash light designed for concert, touring, and event production, combining a radical aura filament effect with full pixel control for video mapping onto the beam, the aura, or both. It’s Martin's latest addition to the MAC Aura family of workhorse wash lights and the first fixture in its class to be rated for outdoor use, with close to zero compromises in weight, size, and aesthetics due to Martin’s smart outdoor-capable design. It raises the bar for optical quality, featuring an even wash field with soft edge, minimal stray light, and high intensity mid-air beams with improved light engine control.

Pixel Control and Aura Filament Looks

MAC Aura XIP pairs a pixelated beam engine (7 x 60 W RGBW LEDs) with a distinctive filament aura array (12 x 4 W RGBW LEDs) to create layered looks that read clearly both on stage and in camera. With full pixel control and mapping capability, designers can build dynamic effects across the beam and aura while maintaining consistent color output through Martin’s Full Gamut Color Calibration.

Optical Performance for Beam and Wash

Built to cover both tight beams and smooth stage washes, MAC Aura XIP delivers 6,000 lumens of RGBW output and 360,000 cd high narrow intensity. A 6.3–50.4° zoom (precise, silent, and fast) supports everything from narrow, high-impact mid-air looks to a wide, even wash field with a soft edge and zero hotspot. Optical control is tuned to keep stray light minimal and color temperature shift from center to edge minor, helping maintain clean stage pictures.

Color Control and Camera-Friendly Operation

For accurate whites and smooth transitions, MAC Aura XIP includes Calibrated and Extended Color Modes, plus calibrated CTC control from 1,000 to 12,850 K. Green/Magenta (tint) control, a tungsten emulation option, and a virtual color wheel make it easier to match existing rigs and accommodate mixed lighting environments. Flicker-free operation and an adjustable LED driver frequency support demanding broadcast, theater, and corporate camera applications.

Outdoor-Capable Design and Practical Touring Specs

MAC Aura XIP is engineered with a smart outdoor rating for any weather condition, giving festivals and outdoor events a wash fixture that is still quiet and lightweight enough for theater, television, and corporate use. For rental and touring workflows, the sealed design is intended to help reduce maintenance demands while keeping the fixture flexible for varied venues.
