NEW Martin VDO Atomic Dot CLD

The Martin VDO Atomic Dot CLD hybrid lighting and video fixture, also available in a WRM color temperature variant, combines a compact strobe, small blinder, video-pixel and small spotlight.

By pairing a video-controlled RGB Aura backlight with a bright cold white dot, the VDO Atomic Dot CLD is designed for high-impact looks in tight spaces, whether you are building an audience-facing strobe wall, adding pixel-mapped accents to set pieces, or placing fixtures where full-size strobes and blinders will not fit.

Lighting Output and Pixel Control

The fixture delivers a cold white 5700K beam for strobe, blinder, and eye-candy effects, with 3350 lumen boost/strobe output and 1600 lumen continuous output. A focused 11° beam angle (22° field angle) helps create punchy, defined hits, while the pixel-controllable RGB Aura backlight adds a second layer for color washes, chases, and video-style content.

Control and Networking Integration

Integrated support for P3, DMX, Art-Net and sACN eliminates the need for additional interface boxes and onboard P3 eases pixel mapping and using the product as a video controlled strobe or blinder. Built-in pixel-FX are available on both the backlight and the beam, supporting quick effects without external programming complexity when needed.

Rigging, Arrays, and Touring-Friendly Design

The integrated VDO Grid Mount System allows multiple VDO Atomic Dots to be combined in battens, arrays or creative shapes, with defined center-to-center spacing of 150 mm horizontally and vertically using interlock couplers. The hybrid Power and Data system (PDE) provides Power and Data IN and THRU via a single cable, carrying DMX, Art-Net, sACN and P3 for fast, clean builds. A detachable yoke-assembly supports flexible mounting, and the front-accessory holder accepts barndoors and or a diffuser/lens for additional beam shaping options.

Built for Real-World Environments

With a built-in power supply (100-240V), passive cooling, and an IP65 rating, the VDO Atomic Dot CLD is well suited to demanding production environments. Its compact footprint (130 mm wide excluding hanging bracket, 146 mm deep) and low weight (2.2 kg including hanging bracket) make it easy to deploy in quantity for touring, TV set work, and rentals supporting corporate and nightclub applications.
