NEW Ayrton Veloce Wash

Following the launch and immediate success of the all-new Veloce Profile, Ayrton is proud to unveil NEW Ayrton Veloce Wash, the fourth luminaire in the “Ultimate” series, designed for powerful, precise wash and effects lighting across indoor stages, outdoor events, and demanding touring environments.

Built on the advanced principle of perfect scalability, this ultra-compact luminaire pushes the boundaries of integration with a sealed 850 W high-efficiency LED module, calibrated at 6500 K, delivering a powerful 40,000-lumen output. With an optimal black body positioning, it ensures perfect light neutrality. Like all Ultimate series luminaires, Veloce Wash is a versatile tool designed to perform in all conditions, including coastal environments, thanks to its IP65 protection rating. The use of lightweight aluminum components significantly reduces weight, achieving a strong weight-to-power ratio without relying on special alloys. Weighing just 39 kg (86 lbs), Veloce Wash is an ultra-light option in its performance class for faster rigging and easier handling.

Optics and zoom for tight beams to broad washes

Equipped with a 190 mm frontal Fresnel lens and a proprietary 12-element, 14:1 high-resolution optical system, Veloce Wash delivers a wide, production-ready zoom range from 4° to 57° via fast motorized linear zoom. Tempered, anti-reflective coated lenses help maintain clarity and contrast, whether you are creating a defined beam look or an even stage wash. The fixture also includes flicker-free source management, making it suitable for TV applications and video-recorded events.

Color control, CTO, and CRI tuning

Veloce Wash integrates an ultra-fast CMY progressive colour-mixing system with a gradient disk that provides a continuous filtering surface, ensuring excellent homogeneity. This approach is designed to keep colors bright while rendering pastel shades with high accuracy. A progressive extended CTO enables precise color temperature adjustment from 2700 K to 6500 K, and the fixture adds creative flexibility with a 7-position fixed color wheel featuring complementary/specialty filters. For camera-facing work and color-critical environments, variable CRI tuning (70 to 86) allows you to balance output and color fidelity.

Framing and beam shaping for controlled wash looks

For applications that require clean edges and controlled spill, the framing system allows for precise shutter blade positioning across 100% of the surface, with ±90° module rotation. A 15-blade iris diaphragm (adjustable from 15% to 100% open) helps tighten or open the beam for dynamic cues and beam-style looks, and the all-new progressive frost system provides smooth, precise diffusion control from 0% to 100%.

Effects for texture, motion, and depth

The effects section includes a 6-position rotating glass gobo wheel, a multi-layer CMY+RGB animation wheel, a beam ovaliser, and an indexable rotating scrim filter. The progressive scrim filter is designed to reduce light intensity at shallow projection angles, helping maintain consistent visual balance in challenging positions.

Movement, accuracy, and touring-ready build

For flexible programming and uninterrupted motion effects, Veloce Wash features continuous, unlimited pan and tilt rotation, with extremely accurate positioning driven by high-resolution stepper motors and microprocessor control (8- or 16-bit resolution). The moving-head skeleton uses aluminium and steel metal plates, with heatsinks in aluminium and copper, and a durable black (Carbon) exterior finish. Physical handling is supported by four-side transport handles and heavy-duty feet for stable placement.
