The Mole Richardson 200W Mini Mole Solarspot (Head: Type 2801) is a compact Fresnel spotlight designed for controlled, punchy illumination in studio, film, and stage setups. With a 3 in. Pyrex Fresnel lens and Alzak aluminum reflector, it delivers a clean, focusable beam that works well as a small key, accent, or background light where precision and repeatability matter.
Beam Control and Focusing
The condenser provides a 12° to 58° field angle for spot-to-flood coverage, and the front and back plastic rotating knobs make it easy to fine-tune focus on set. The included Focal Spot attachment supports tighter control for shaping and placing light where you need it.
Power, Mounting, and Build
Rated 120/240 volts (A.C. or D.C.), up to 1.7 amps and 200 watts max., this fixture uses a double contact bayonet socket. It features solid sheet steel and aluminum die-cast construction, a rugged aluminum casting thru-cord switch in the cable, and an attached 25 ft. Type SO, 3 conductor #18 AWG cable with Edison plug (other plugs available upon request). A cast aluminum yoke fits any standard 5/8 in. (16 mm) spud for common grip and stand compatibility. Finish is maroon powder coat enamel.
