The NEW Clay Paky Tambora Glare is a powerful hybrid LED bar built for concert, touring, broadcast, and event rigs where you need intense brightness, precise color, and animated looks from a single fixture. It pairs a high-output blinder engine with a dedicated strobe engine, so you can move from punchy audience hits to detailed motion graphics without changing tools.
Hybrid Blinder + Strobe Performance
Tambora Glare combines 10 x 50W RGBA LEDs for the blinder engine with two strobe lines (each line with 125 CW + 125 WW 1W LEDs). This lets you build bold, saturated blinder looks, then layer crisp white or warm-to-cool strobing on top. With a color temperature range of 2500K to 8000K, it can match warmer tungsten-style tones or cooler modern whites for camera and stage.
Pixel Mapping and Motion Graphics
With single-pixel mapping, each LED is individually controllable, enabling chases, patterns, and graphic effects across the bar for standout stage architecture and scenic lighting. The high-output blinder effect is designed to enhance show moments where presence and impact matter most.
Optics, Output, and Practical Rigging
The optical system is high efficiency, with a 22° aperture for the RGBA LEDs and a wide 120° aperture for the CW/WW strobe LEDs. Total output is rated at 19,874 lm (integrating sphere). The fixture is lightweight and modular, and it is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. It measures 1000 x 198 x 106 mm (39.4 x 7.79 x 4.2 in) and weighs 13.5 kg (29.76 lbs).
Control, Monitoring, and Service Tools
Tambora Glare supports modern maintenance and network workflows, including remote access through RDM, DMX monitoring, and diagnostic functions. A backlit B/W graphic LCD display simplifies setup on site. Firmware can be uploaded from another fixture, or upgraded via Web Server for streamlined servicing across a rig.
Reliability
LED life expectancy is rated at 50,000 hours (L70). The fixture also includes a long-life self-charging battery.
