The NEW City Theatrical 185MM Color Extender moves your gel frame forward of the fixture’s focal plane to reduce heat at the gel, helping extend gel life on hot incandescent theatrical lights and cutting down on time spent replacing burned gel.

Designed for stage and entertainment lighting workflows, Color Extenders create extra distance between the lamp and the gel so gels run cooler and last longer, especially in demanding rep plot or rental environments where fixtures may stay on for extended periods.
Construction and Finish
Each extender is fabricated from durable cold rolled steel with hemmed edges, and finished in a black powdercoat for long-term durability. Gel materials are placed in the slot at the front of the unit, positioned forward of the fixture’s focal plane to help prevent gel burnout and save both time and aggravation.
