The NEW City Theatrical 185MM Concentric Ring is a compact beam-control accessory designed to reduce stray light, spill, and flare when you need cleaner edges on stage or on set. It delivers a beam control function similar to a full top hat in a shorter form factor, making it a practical choice when space is tight or when you want a lower-profile solution.

Beam Control and On-Camera/Onstage Aesthetics

Our Concentric Ring Top Hats perform a beam control function similar to a full top hat, but in a shorter device. Concentric Rings also are used by designers to give a stylized “Svoboda like” feeling when the accessories are in view of the audience.

Construction and Finish

Fabricated from light gauge steel with hemmed edges, this accessory is only 2 inches (51mm) long yet offers comparable function to a full 6 inch (152mm) Top Hat. A black powdercoat finish helps it visually disappear in typical rigging and theatrical environments.
