NEW Lightronics FC816 MIDI Foot Controller

The NEW Lightronics FC816 MIDI Foot Controller is a foot-operated lighting dimmer controller designed for hands-free control in live performances, stage, disco, night club, and other event and artistic applications. It provides 16 channels of control with scene, chase, and blackout functions so you can build looks in advance and trigger changes on cue while keeping your focus on the performance.

Scenes, Manual Mode, and Fade Control

It is a 16 channel, 9 scene, multiplex output dimmer controller. It is intended as a foot operated controller. Eight scenes can be user recorded and scene fade time can be user set. A ninth scene is available as a manual mode scene. This setup makes it easy to store your most-used looks, then smoothly transition between them using a user-set fade rate when timing matters.

Chases with Operator, Audio, and MIDI Control

The unit can produce four user recorded chase sequences of up to fourteen steps each. Chase advance timing can be controlled by the operator or by an external audio signal. Chase steps may consist of user set sequences, entire scenes, or a combination of both. The FC816 will operate with MIDI equipment which can be used to control scenes and chases. With MIDI control including scene select, you can integrate the FC816 into a larger rig where lighting changes can be triggered from compatible MIDI gear.

Control Interface and Output Protocol

For hands-on adjustment, the FC816 features 16 rotary channels and dedicated controls for blackout, fade rate, and chase rate (including chase off). Output is provided via LMX-128 protocol and multiplex output dimmer control, supporting installations where LMX-128 is part of the existing system.
