The NEW Lightronics XC40 Wireless DMX Portable Dimmer is a compact 4-circuit dimmer pack designed for reliable, on-location control of theatrical and event lighting. It delivers a 600W load capacity per circuit at 120V, making it a practical choice for small rigs, truss and pipe-and-drape setups, studios, and portable production systems where fast setup and flexible control are essential.

Control Options for Touring and Install Workflows

The XC40 can be controlled in several ways, the most common being DMX-512. Other control modes are also provided for stand alone operations, including individual channel control and chaser functions. For quick configuration, it includes full soft patch capability plus a quick pack address function to speed DMX addressing during load-in.

Flexible Output Behavior and Dimming Performance

Individual circuits may be operated as non-dim (relay) circuits, which is useful for switching compatible non-dimmable loads when you need on/off control instead of fading. Individual circuits may be set for one of several response curves and may be limited to less than full intensity, helping you tailor fades to the fixture type and cap maximum output where needed.

Built-In Protection and Practical Connectivity

Each of the four circuits is protected by a 5 Amp fuse to help isolate faults and reduce downtime. A LED digital display supports straightforward configuration and status at the pack, and Edison outputs make it easy to connect common 120V lighting loads.

Wireless DMX Option and System Integration

The XC40 can optionally be provided with a wireless DMX receiver, allowing cable-free DMX control when running data lines is impractical. It also supports an architectural interface and AMX/Crestron interface for integration into permanent control systems where applicable.
