NEW Lightronics AS40D Portable Dimmer

The NEW Lightronics AS40D Portable Dimmer is a compact, portable 4 channel dimmer pack designed to control lighting from a DMX-512 console or run chases on its own. Built for on-the-go rigs and quick setups, it provides up to 600 Watts per channel with a 2400 Watts maximum total load capacity, and connects to a 120 VAC, 20 Amp power circuit via the supplied input power cord.

Power Capacity and Protection

The AS40D supports a maximum of 600W per channel (2400W total), giving you practical headroom for multiple fixtures on a single portable dimmer pack. For serviceability and circuit protection, the unit uses 5 Amp fuses.

Control Options, DMX and Stand-Alone Chases

The unit operates using the USITT DMX-512 protocol for integration with standard lighting control systems. When a console is not available, the AS40D will also function as a stand alone chaser with eight primary preset chase patterns for simple, repeatable looks.

Relay (Non-Dim) Mode and Output Connections

For loads that should not be dimmed, the AS40D may be operated in a relay (non-dim) mode, and it is switchable for flexibility across different fixture types. Outputs are provided via Edison output connections, supporting common 120V equipment.
