Compact, Road-Ready Build

The HotBox 5 RGBAW features a rock solid aluminum casing with dual hanging brackets and secure grip locking knobs for flexible mounting and aiming. Despite its rugged construction, it stays highly portable at just 3.5 pounds and measures only 4 x 5 x 5 inches (7.25 inches tall including the brackets), making it easy to deploy in clubs, mobile rigs, houses of worship, and stage installs where space and weight matter.

DMX Control That Fits Your Workflow

With 4/5/9 or 10 user-selectable DMX channel modes, the HotBox 5 is built to integrate with virtually any lighting setup, including popular 4-channel controllers. You’ll have control of everything the fixture offers, including RGBAW color mixing, 31 built-in programs, ultra smooth flicker-free 32-bit dimming (with 5 user-selectable dimming curves), plus easy HSV color mixing ability in 4-channel mode. A flicker-free constant-current 400hz LED driver helps keep output stable for live use and many camera applications.

Standalone Operation and Built-In Effects

The easy to use built-in 4-button LED control panel provides full access to master/slave settings, sound active mode, built-in programs, auto mode, custom color mixing, and user adjustable fade/strobe effects. Built-in color and chase macros via DMX make it simple to create looks quickly, while built-in automated programs via master/slave are ideal when you need a fast, controller-free setup.

Connectivity, Cooling, and Wireless DMX Compatibility

The HotBox RGBAW comes equipped with industry standard powerCON compatible power input/output and 3-pin DMX connections (3-pin male input and 3-pin female output) for clean, reliable cabling on stage. Super-quiet variable-speed internal fan cooling helps manage heat while keeping noise low. You can also take full advantage of Blizzard’s wiCICLE wireless DMX system without the need for external power thanks to the wiCICLE enabled DMX jacks. An innovative design provides power to the system directly from the fixture’s DMX jack, meaning even fewer cords and less setup time.
