The NEW Pathway PWREP Rack-Mount 8-Port DMX Repeater is an opto-splitter designed for reliable DMX512 distribution in permanent installations and touring rigs. It supports star-wiring configurations while isolating and protecting connected equipment from electrical faults, helping keep your control network stable when cabling issues or voltage problems occur in the field.
RDM Hub Intelligence on a DMX512 Network
RDM Hub models provide Ethernet-type intelligence features on a pure DMX512 network. The front panel allows the unit to be used as an RDM controller, enabling RDM Discovery and end device management directly from the unit without requiring additional tools.
Flexible Control and Port Behavior
With 8 bi-directional DMX512 ports and three operating modes (RDM, Merge, and Hub), PWREP adapts to common control scenarios. You can merge two controllers without additional equipment, set Priority and HTP behavior where appropriate, and automatically switch a console between locations by simply unplugging and replugging the console. For system tuning, the unit also offers user-configurable DMX output speed and signal loss behavior.

Built for Rack Installations
Designed for quiet environments, the unit operates silently with fan-less cooling and includes rack-mount ears for straightforward installation. It uses a wide-range 100-240VAC, 50/60Hz power input (0.08A max power consumption) and measures 17" W x 1.7" H x 7.0" D (433mm W x 43mm H x 178mm D). Base device weight is 5.2 lbs (2.4 kg), without rack mounting hardware.
Protection and Recovery
No fuses are required. Self-resetting port protection is designed to recover from voltage faults, reducing downtime and service interruptions after an incident.
