NEW Pathway PWREP Rack-Mount 8-Port DMX Repeater, Rear RJ45 EtherCon, RDM Hub Opto Splitter is a rack-mount, 8-port DMX512 opto-splitter designed for reliable DMX distribution in permanent installs, touring racks, and complex show control systems. It enables practical star-wiring layouts while providing electrical isolation that helps protect consoles, fixtures, and other devices from wiring faults and voltage issues.

RDM Hub Intelligence on a DMX512 Network

RDM Hub models provide Ethernet-type intelligence features on a pure DMX512 network. The front panel allows the unit to be used as an RDM controller, making it easier to perform RDM discovery, identify devices, and manage end devices directly at the rack without adding extra hardware.

Configurable Operation for Real-World Control Workflows

This PWREP repeater provides 8 bi-directional DMX512 ports and supports three modes: RDM, Merge, and Hub. Configure settings from the front panel interface, including port-by-port RDM enable/disable, user-configurable DMX output speed, and signal-loss behavior. In merge mode, you can merge two controllers without additional equipment, and the unit can automatically switch a console between locations by simply unplugging and replugging the console, which is useful for redundant or alternate control positions.

Built for Rack Reliability

Designed for quiet control rooms and stage racks, the unit offers silent, fan-less operation and uses gold-plated XLR contacts. There are no fuses; self-resetting port protection helps the system recover from voltage faults, reducing downtime during troubleshooting. Rack-mount ears are included, and the rear panel uses RJ45 EtherCON connectors for clean rack wiring.
