NEW ROBE PATT 2017

NEW ROBE PATT 2017 is an LED-driven, environmentally conscious lighting fixture designed as both a practical luminaire and a visual centerpiece for stages and sets. Ideal for bands, television, film, and general prop lighting, it can run as a playfully colorful RGBW effect or dial in a tungsten white-like look for warm, camera-friendly ambience.

Designed as a Fixture and a Set Piece

Based on an idea conceived by lighting designer Tim Routledge, this fixture uses a sleek, spun aluminium body that maximises its curves to look as good on stage as the performers it illuminates. Seven high-output RGBW LED multichips powerfully illuminate the reflector, finished with the special “PATT” gold-brown coating, making the beam and pixel effects visually pop on camera and to the naked eye.

Color Control, Pixel Effects, and Tungsten-Like Whites

In addition to controlling the complete LED cluster as a single unit, each LED can be controlled independently for smooth animations, transitions, and rainbow-style pixel looks across the aluminium reflector. Color mixing is available in RGBW or CMY modes, with a Virtual Colour Wheel offering 66 preset swatches for fast, repeatable color selection. For white light workflows, Variable CTO (2,700K to 8,000K) lets you match practicals, balance to camera, or move from warm tungsten-like tones to cooler daylight looks without gels.

Electronic dimming provides 0 to 100% control (high-resolution, internal 18-bit processing), and the electronic shutter supports variable speed strobe up to 20 flashes per second, plus random strobe and pulse effects.

Control and Networking

The PATT 2017 supports USITT DMX-512 and RDM, plus ArtNet, Kling-Net, and sACN for modern networked lighting rigs. It offers six DMX protocol modes with channel counts of 13, 32, 40, 47, 53, or 60, making it easy to choose a simple profile for basic operation or a higher-channel mode for full pixel control. Onboard setting and addressing are handled via a two-row LCD display with four control buttons.
