The NEW Pathway PWPP Pathport Rack Mount DMX Gateway is a central hub for distributing DMX512 and RDM over an Ethernet network. Use it to connect DMX512 control sources, transport data via Ethernet, and deliver DMX512 to end devices such as intelligent lighting fixtures, LEDs, and dimmers across a venue, studio, or installed system.

A 24 Watt, 24 VDC Auxiliary Power Supply is included.

Networked DMX Distribution for Installed and Touring Systems

The Pathport series of DMX/RDM Ethernet Gateways are the heart of DMX distribution, providing a clean way to move multiple universes between your lighting network and standard DMX runs. With eight DMX512 ports, each port can be individually configured for input or output, making the unit flexible for console outputs, architectural control integration, nodes at truss or dimmer locations, or splitting distribution across rooms and zones.

Protocol Support and Advanced Patching

Support includes Pathway ssACN (Secure sACN), ANSI E1.31 streaming ACN (sACN), Art-Net, Pathport Protocol, and ShowNet. Advanced capabilities include slot-by-slot patching with multiple sources, cross-fading on priority change, and user-defined signal loss behavior. You can map up to eight control sources to each output slot with merge and/or priority options configurable per source, which is helpful when combining multiple controllers or creating priority-based backup paths.

RDM and Configuration

When used with free Pathscape configuration software or ANSI E1.33 RDMnet compliant controllers, the gateway can act as an E1.20 RDM controller for managing compatible RDM devices. Status LEDs for each port provide instant confirmation of DMX activity and direction. The LCD display and encoder knob enable front panel configuration and reporting of common settings such as IP address, subnet mask, port direction, and protocol selection.
