Comfortable running demanding live events, medium-sized generative projects and 3D visualization, the NEW Green Hippo Hippotizer Boreal+ MK2 is an all-around Rental and Touring media server built for reliable show playback, flexible routing, and fast on-site setup.

Performance for live playback, Notch, and 3D workflows

Boreal+ MK2 is designed to keep interactive and time-critical content responsive, with support for uncompressed playback, 20 concurrent 4K layers, and a 5,000 MB/s media drive for high-throughput content access. For Notch-based workflows, it is rated for 25,000 Notchmarks to help handle demanding real-time generative content and 3D scenes.

Outputs and mapping flexibility

Choose your preferred output format, with 4 production outputs available as 4x DP 1.2 or 4x HDMI (Output Type: HDMI 2.0 or DP 1.2). Hippotizer’s output management and Output Mapping tools are built to accommodate a wide range of canvas and routing configurations, while PixelMapper supports mapping many thousand light points for creative LED and pixel-driven installs. For projection workflows, SHAPE 3D Mapping provides a complete 3D projection mapping tool set.

Sync, control, and multi-server networking

For synchronized systems, Genlock is supported, and Software EDID Emulation is included (Hardware EDID Emulation: HDMI - Yes / DP - No). Audio and timecode integration are straightforward with balanced stereo XLR I/O and LTC over Audio Input. In multi-unit environments, HippoNet enables control of multiple units from a single ZooKeeper, and the server includes an integrated Media Management system to speed up ingest and organization.

Connectivity and touring-ready build

Network connectivity includes 2x 10Gb and 2x 1Gb ports (10Gb/s Network by default) for modern media networks and control infrastructures. USB connectivity is optimized for on-show usability, with 4 rear USB3 Type-A ports and 2 front USB 3.1 (5Gb/s) Type-A ports. Power is touring-friendly with a Neutrik True1 input and True1 power loop (1000W max), running on 100-250V, 50/60Hz.
