The Chroma-Q Color Force II 48 is a high-output LED batten designed for cyclorama, flood, and wall-washing applications where a powerful throw is needed. The Color Force II delivers formidable output and superior colour blending, all with smooth even coverage, making it well suited to lighting long cyc runs and large scenic surfaces evenly.

Optical System and Coverage for Cyc and Wall Wash

With four powerful, fully homogenized cells per foot (305mm), the Color Force II 48 can be grouped and controlled to support multi-zone looks while maintaining consistent colour mixing. Unsightly colour shadowing is eliminated with this innovative optical system, and the fixture provides power enough to light nearly 12m of cyclorama. A 22° beam angle (approx.) and asymmetrical direct illumination help place light where it is most useful on a cyc or wall, improving smoothness and reducing wasted spill.

Control, Colour Modes, and Built-In Effects

Control is via ANSI E1.11 USITT DMX 512-A with Neutrik 5-pin XLR in/out, supporting a wide range of control personalities and workflows. Control modes include RGBA, RGB, HSI, Look Sel, Master, x16, x8, x4, x2, x1, Odd/Even, Skp3, and Skp7, which allows you to choose between detailed pixel-style control and simpler channel counts when patch space is limited. The fixture uses a theatrical dimming curve for smoother fades, and a variable effects engine provides Strobe, Strobe on Top, and Strobe Random effects.

Designed for performance lighting, the Color Force II 48 features 16 LED engines and delivers 13,500 hot lumens (combined). It supports a wide CCT range of 1,000K to 10,000K for warm-to-cool looks, with a performance-enhanced colour gamut and CRI 92 for natural rendering of performers, scenery, and fabric textures.

Power, Rigging, and Touring-Ready Build

Power is rated for 100-240V AC, 50-60 Hz, 550VA, using Neutrik powerCON TRUE1 in/out for secure power linking. Forced cooling supports stable operation in demanding installs and productions, with an operating temperature range of 0°C to 40°C. The fixture is built from anodized aluminium extrusion in black, includes quick release lever hardware for tilt adjustment, and carries an IP20 rating for indoor use.

Measuring 1,181mm x 165mm x 191mm (46.5" x 6.5" x 7.5") and weighing 18 kg (40 lb), the Color Force II 48 is part of a family available in 1.8m (6 ft), 1.2m (4 ft), and 0.3m (1 ft) versions. These fixtures are specifically designed to fit in flight cases used with the original Color Force.
