ETC Element 2, 1024 Outputs is a lighting control console built for venues that run primarily conventional (dimmer-based) lighting and want the programming power of the Eos family in a streamlined, cost-effective desk. It combines familiar keypad command entry with hands-on fader control, making it a practical fit for theatres, schools, houses of worship, and multi-use spaces where operators need fast access to channels, cues, and submasters.

Please note that the Element 2 requires Windows 7 compatible monitors. Element 2 cannot integrate into a multi-programming environment with Ion or Eos level desks.

Hands-On Playback and Everyday Programming

In addition to keypad commands, True LTP Channel Faders provide direct intensity control and can be used to set manual levels, as well as edit recorded cues and submasters. A master playback pair with 100mm faders supports main cue playback, while 40 45mm faders across 100 pages provide extensive, configurable hands-on control for channels, submasters, palette/preset functions, timing, and effect master playback.

Designed for Conventional Rigs, Ready for Accessories and Small Moving Light Use

Element 2 is designed for venues using primarily conventional lighting, and also includes Moving Light Controls to simplify operation of common conventional accessories such as moving mirror heads, color scrollers, and gobo rotators, or to make controlling small numbers of moving lights more direct.

Workflow Tools and Displays

The Central Information Area (CIA) provides access to the browser and key controls, supported by a configurable high-density channel display with format and flexi-channel modes. User-definable direct selects, interactive Magic Sheets, four discrete palette types (IFCB), and presets that function as an “all palette” help organize looks and speed up repeatable programming. Effects provide dynamic relational and absolute progressive behavior, and up to six abstract color spaces are supported, along with tinting, spectrum, and fade path tools.

Networking, Control, and Show File Compatibility

For networked output and system integration, Element 2 supports ETCNet2 and Net3 (powered by ACN), ArtNet, and Avab UDP. Two individually configurable Ethernet ports are provided, along with multiple MIDI and/or SMPTE TimeCode inputs, analog/serial inputs, and OSC transmit/recieve for flexible triggering and synchronization.

Element 2 supports up to 32,768 control channels (any number from 1 - 99,999), up to 99 discrete users, and partitioned control for shared operation. It also supports show import from Obsession, Express, Expression, Emphasis, Congo, Cobalt, Grand MA1, Grand MA2, Safari, and Strand 500/300 Series, which can simplify transitions from legacy consoles or touring show files.

A virtual media server function is available for pixel mapped effects, images, and animations. Multi-language support includes English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Russian, and Chinese (Simplified and Traditional).
