FlareCON Air 2 is a compact, 100% TRUE wireless Wi-Fi receiver and wireless D-Fi transmitter in a single unit, designed for cable-free DMX lighting control when you need fast setup and reliable operation. The unit has a built-in battery, generates its own Wi-Fi network, and can be used anywhere with no internet or hotspot needed, making it ideal for mobile DJs, event production, and temporary installs.

Wireless Control, Anywhere

Because FlareCON Air 2 creates its own Wi-Fi network, you can control lighting from compatible Android and Apple smartphones or tablets without relying on venue internet. An on-board text readout and OLED digital display make navigation straightforward when you are configuring settings at the rig.

Compatible with D-Fi Systems and Traditional DMX

FlareCON Air 2 can wirelessly control an unlimited number of D-Fi-ready fixtures and receivers simultaneously, helping you scale from a small wash setup to a full room package without adding long DMX runs. You can even control non-D-Fi-enabled fixtures using the included cable adapter, so existing DMX gear can be brought into a wireless workflow.

Range, Power, and Mounting Details

For placement flexibility, FlareCON Air 2 supports a maximum unobstructed distance of 100 ft (30.5 m) via Wi-Fi and 600 ft (183 m) via D-Fi. The built-in battery runs up to 8 hours, with a 4-hour recharge time, and it can be powered via 5 VDC, 1.6 A using the external power supply (100 to 240 VAC, 50/60 Hz). DMX output supports 512 channels via 3-pin XLR, operating on 2.412 to 2.484 GHz with an RP-SMA antenna connection. A built-in hook and loop fastener supports direct mounting to truss.

Compliance and Specifications

FlareCON Air 2 is fully FCC/RTTE compliant and carries CE and FCC approvals. Power and current are rated at 4 W, 0.72 A @ 120 V, 60 Hz (or 4 W, 0.45 A @ 230 V, 50 Hz). The unit weighs 0.6 lb (0.3 kg) and measures 6.2 x 3.3 x 0.9 in (158 x 83 x 24 mm).
