The MA Lighting grandMA3 compact XT console is the larger of the two compact grandMA3 models, delivering the full system benefits of the grandMA3 platform in a compact, lightweight format that is easy to transport. It is well-suited for owner/operators and as a tech-desk console for professional shows and events where you need the power of the grandMA3 ecosystem without stepping up to a full-size desk.

Hands-on Programming and Playback Control

Built for fast programming and confident show operation, the grandMA3 compact XT features 2 internal foldable multi-touch monitors for flexible viewing angles and efficient workflow. For expanded screen real estate, one external multi-touch screen can also be connected.

The command section is designed to feel familiar if you have worked on larger grandMA3 consoles, and the control surface is packed for live playback: 60 separate playbacks, 15 backlit motorized 60 mm faders, and a dedicated master playback section including 2 backlit motorized A/B faders (100 mm). For quick access and customization, the console also provides 16 assignable x-keys.

Control Capacity and System Scaling

The grandMA3 compact XT includes 4,096 control parameters (HTP/LTP) as standard (also listed as 4,096 parameters in Mode2), making it an ideal choice for small and medium sized professional entertainment lighting applications. When your rig grows, session control can scale to up to 250,000 parameters in connection with grandMA3 processing units, allowing you to keep the same operating surface while expanding system performance.

Connectivity for Lighting Networks and DMX

For flexible integration into show networks and DMX workflows, the console offers 6 DMX outputs and 1 DMX input, plus 3 etherCON connectors and 5 USB connectors for connected devices and peripherals.

Encoder and Key Design for Live Use

For precise, tactile control, the surface includes 39 rotary RGB backlit encoders and 5 dual encoders. Keys are individually backlit and dimmable, with silent (clickless) action to support quiet environments and reduce distraction during live operation.

Software Compatibility

The grandMA3 compact XT is compatible with grandMA2 and grandMA3 software, supporting mixed environments and helping teams transition between platforms without changing console hardware.
