The MA Lighting grandMA3 I/O Node is a versatile signal distribution interface for a grandMA3 lighting control system. Place it wherever signals need to enter or leave your network, whether at FOH, backstage, in a dimmer room, or near media and audio departments, to send and receive external control and timing signals reliably.

Signal Distribution for Complex grandMA3 Workflows

Designed as a practical “multi-tool” within the grandMA3 ecosystem, the grandMA3 I/O Node helps you integrate common show control connections without relocating your console or running unnecessary point-to-point cabling. It is well suited to touring rigs, fixed installs, and any setup where you need convenient I/O access at multiple locations across a venue.

Connections for Show Control and Synchronization

The unit provides a broad range of interfaces for external devices and timing sources, including MIDI In/Out (5-pin DIN), Linear Timecode (3-pin XLR), and a GPI (General Purpose Interface) on a DE9 connector for remote control applications. Network connectivity is handled via etherCON/RJ45, and a USB 2.0 Type A port is available for compatible workflows within the system.

Power and Physical Specifications

Flexible mains input supports AC 100 to 240 V at 50/60 Hz, with power consumption up to 15 VA. Operating temperature is 0 °C to 40 °C (32 °F to 104 °F). The enclosure measures 207 x 184 x 43 mm (9 x 8 x 2 in) and weighs 2 kg (5 lbs). For touring-friendly power connection, it uses a powerCON TRUE1 connector.
