NEW Green Hippo Hippotizer Nevis+

With 1x Display Port 1.2 output, Nevis+ allows you to create, visualize and playback video in real-time, all from a small, purpose built chassis.

Built for compact show control

The NEW Green Hippo Hippotizer Nevis+ is designed for installations and live events that need reliable media playback and flexible content routing in a space-efficient footprint. Its 1/2U chassis (220 x 220 x 42 mm, under 5 kg) fits easily into touring racks, control rooms, and tight AV enclosures while still supporting high-resolution playback workflows.

Content playback, mapping, and visualization tools

Nevis+ includes core Hippotizer V4 & V4+ capabilities for building and running visuals in real time, including FlexRes Codec support, integrated media management, and real-time playback control of any attribute. For creative and technical teams, it also supports Output Mapping for flexible system configuration, PixelMapper for large pixel-based lighting layouts, and SHAPE 3D Mapping for projection mapping tool sets.

Outputs, resolution, and system configuration

Video output is provided via 1x DP 1.2 (also listed as 1x DP 1.2 ZooKeeper outs). Nevis+ supports splitters (Yes) for expanding display configurations, with HD outs (with splitter): 2. Max Resolution is listed as DVI 4096 x 2160. EDID Emulation is software-based, and Genlock is not included.

Networking and multi-unit control

For scalable deployments, HippoNet enables control of multiple units from a single ZooKeeper. Nevis+ includes 2 network ports, and for capture workflows it supports NDI Capture by using the second network port (Capture Cards: No). 10GB Network is not included.

Performance and storage

The system is built on an AMD Ryzen CPU with 4(8) threads (cores) at 3.6GHz and 8GB DDR4 RAM. Storage includes a 500GB SSD system drive and a 500GB media drive rated at 500 MB/s. Uncompressed playback is not supported.

Audio, power, and recovery options

Audio connections include 3.5mm TRS input and 3.5mm TRS output. Power is via IEC, with 100-240V 50/60Hz input and 150VA power consumption. The operating system is Windows 10. The unit also includes Back-Up Factory image, Rental Restore image, and User Restore image options. Hippotizer licensing is via Hardware Dongle, and the Hippotizer V4+ minimum software is V4.5.4.
